Money Chevrolet came to life in September of 1956. It was started by Rex Money. The automobile business was in his blood, his parents, in-laws, and some uncles in Enid Oklahoma had new and used car dealerships. The first year it was just Oldsmobile. Chevrolet was added in 1958. Son Mike was involved from day one, attending collage in Hays and coming home every weekend and summers detailing used vehicles. Mike became part owner, then sole owner after his graduation from Fort Hays State University. Later Buick, Pontiac, and Medium Duty Chevrolet Trucks were added to the business. Mike always loved trucks and the dealership had a large Heavy Duty Truck department also. As time passed General Motors discontinued the Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Medium Duty Truck lines. Also the majority of General Motors Dealers in N.W. Kansas were closed closed during a GM restructuring, so now our area of responsibility now includes Colby, Hoxie, Norton, Plainville, Phillipsburg, and WaKeeney. Today along with Chevrolet and Buick we are very involved in supplying the Tri-State area with Heavy Duty Truck Tractors and Grain and Livestock Trailers.
All of the above could not have happened without our great employees and our many loyal customers. We are here today to serve your transportation needs both in sales and quality service.
